Welcome to the Garlands Getaways Whale’s Tail studio at Top of the Gulf Resort in the desirable Thomas Drive-area was completely remodelled in 2020. It sleeps 4 and features a direct beach and pool view and free daily beach service in season. 

Guests will enjoy 2 queen beds, dining table for 4, walk-in tiled shower, flatscreen TV with HD service, high-speed private WiFi, full-sized kitchen stocked with dishes, utensils, and appliances needed for snacks and meals, large, screened bay window that opens to hear, see and smell the surf; a floor-length window really lets you soak up the view (no private balcony), a loveseat, and seating at the window-front bar area perfect for a cup or coffee or catching up email. And we provide starter amounts of soaps and paper products like tp, paper towels, and trash bags. (Please plan to bring/buy additional if your stay is longer than a couple of days.)

Avoid the crowds in this cozier complex (just 200 condos and 8 stories) that offers easy in and out and quick elevators. Top of the Gulf is one of the best-maintained complexes offering all the beachside amenities you want to complement your vacation. The grounds and landscaping are gorgeous and the pool is stunning with a fun, oversized Adirondack chair and large swing alongside. A kids' pool is ideal for little ones, and ample NEW pool chairs are available. Check out the shuffleboard court and cornhole boards for games in the sun or an inside game room that is newly remodelled gets you away from the heat. Right next to the pool is our internet cafe offering high-speed wifi in a shaded, AC-setting. And there is a fitness room with new equipment on property as well.

Getting to the sand is easy since Top of the Gulf is located directly on the beach.

Pool and surfside sits our Surf Snack Shack with a delicious menu of eats and drinks (open seasonally). Or you can grill up your own fare on the provided guest grills.

Laundry facilities are located throughout the complex, and there are large communal balconies on each level with seating to enjoy the view and the breeze.

A $30 parking/amenity fee is required by the Resort to be paid upon arrival. One parking pass is guaranteed; a second is possible depending on the resort occupancy at the time of your travel dates (highly unlikely in three summer) or there is a pay lot 1-2 miles away. The minimum age to rent is 21, and the maximum guests allowed in the condo is 4. No pets, ESA, or visitors are allowed. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Starting Sept 18 and through the end of 2023, there will be construction going on at our building. It will be NOISY every Monday - Wednesday during the daytime hours. Thursday - Sunday will have work going on but no LOUD work and nothing that will hinder our guest's stay on the 3rd floor.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $150.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
